About Concepduo

From a small room in Thonglor to an international design agency — built on partnership, clarity, and client-first values.

Our Story

Concepduo began in 2021, but its story started much earlier. Chris and JJ first worked as freelancers in 2013, handling projects from start to finish on their own.

In 2023, we were still based in a small room in Thonglor, Bangkok. Chris focused on operations and delivery, while JJ managed marketing and finance. Leads started to come in, and slowly the duo had to choose which projects to accept.

The name Concepduo reflects this foundation: Concept + Duo = two people building design ideas together.

From Freelance to Agency

Freelancing gave us control over every detail, and it was satisfying to shape projects from start to finish. But there were limits.

We reached a point where we had too much demand and not enough time. Instead of turning clients away, we chose to expand.

Scaling to a company meant we could handle bigger challenges, direct a team, and take on more ambitious projects. As Chris puts it:

“Having a team is like steering a big truck. You’re no longer doing every detail yourself, but you’re guiding people toward the destination.”

Key Milestones

  • 2013: Started as freelancers.
  • 2017: Secured a project worth over USD 25,000 (under NDA), requiring precision and complex execution.
  • 2017: Velvet Nightclub Bangkok — built its website and promoted events, hiring international artists like Angie Vuha and Charlie Templar.
  • 2021: Concepduo officially launched as a company.
  • 2023: Operations expanded, more structured contracts, and selective scaling.

Our Values

Our work is guided by three values:

  • Client-First – We design with the client’s goals at the center.
  • Clarity – Our process, communication, and deliverables are always clear.
  • Global Balance – We mix Thai cultural understanding with global design standards.

Not every project was perfect, but most clients not only enjoyed working with us — they came back later for redesigns, content, or advertising campaigns.

Looking Ahead

Over the next 3–5 years, we see Concepduo taking on bigger challenges and carefully expanding beyond Asia. With fluency in French, English, and Thai, we are also looking at opportunities in European markets.

But we remain selective. Boutique means quality — and that’s how we plan to stay.
